Robert Bloch lived in a house in Weyauwega and wrote Psycho while he lived there. The Lakeside Inn (as it was called) was the inspiration for the Bates Motel.

A little bigger than Almond at 1500... We always heard as kids that Robert Bloch spent time on the water tower at the county hospital while visiting his wife. He could see the back of the Lakeside Hotel which was across the lake from there. Just wondering if you can lend any credence to that thought. Very hard to get anyone to believe it.
