This blog remains popular despite the fact that I only post every 7-10 days (or so). I have mixed feelings about this. I am, of course, very grateful that people continue to read it; but, I am also experiencing a certain amount of guilt because I don’t update often enough—in my estimation—to warrant all the traffic.

Not to mention, like most writers, I hate everything I write.

So, what I’m going to do here is attempt to kill my tendency to “put things off” by attacking my strong sense of ethics and responsibility. See, up ‘til now, I’ve never committed to posting blog entries on any set schedule. Therefore, I could safely and ethically put-it-off until I felt like it.

But, all that’s about to change.

I am going to make a commitment: From now on, you can count on a new blog entry every Tuesday and Thursday morning with an occasional weekend special (subject to availability). I’m not going to promise my posts will all be over 1,000 words—heck, some might even be just a couple of paragraphs—but, I’ll have something new on Dead Rooster at least twice a week.

Well, I guess I better get busy writing; does anyone know how to spell “Diarrhea”?
