Blog Engage: The Ultimate Blog Promotion Site for Bloggers
Get out of my dreams and into my Jello-filled bathtub! I have found the ultimate blog promotion site: Blog Engage.
Blog Engage is a blogging community and social networking site designed specifically for bloggers. But, unlike other bloggers’ communities such as MyBlogLog or BlogCatalog, it works more like Reddit and Digg where you vote up-or-down on your fellow bloggers posts.
As an added attraction, Blog Engage is currently a DO FOLLOW site, meaning submitted posts can actually gain some PR juice. But that’s not my favorite thing about it. What I like is that, unlike other social networks that discourage users from submitting their own material and penalizing those that do, Blog Engage was created from the beginning with the idea that bloggers would be submitting their own stuff!
This is of particular interest to bloggers like me that just don’t feel right about submitting their own blog posts to social networks. With Blog Engage, submitting your own work is what it’s all about! It’s what you’re supposed to do! Guilt free submissions at last!
So, if you’re a blogger—and, I’m thinking you must be if you’ve read this far—get over to Blog Engage and go crazy (well, not literally, of course—I mean, don’t go on a killing spree or anything).
I’ll see you over there. Once you get signed up, don’t forget to friend your old buddy, The Rooster! My profile can be found here>>> Dead Rooster’s Blog Engage Profile

Thanks for reviewing BlogEngage.
Regards,
Sarah.

Brian the owner is NO DOUBT a friend to bloggers and a actual blogger himself.
PEACE
With all the well known sites treating their members like crap it’s nice to have a spot
where the owner will go out of his way for you and has your best interest at heart.
Unlike Blogcatalog sorry had to say it..
I’m also launching a site for bloggers soon so things are popping
It’s going to be a GREAT Christmas,
Personally I’m glad your back in the swing of the blogger scene and it’s always a JOY when you stop by LOL
stumbled thanks

John! Thanks again for the kind words and support. You’re the best, man!
Now that I’ve got that out of the way, please do the following:
1. Go to Blog Engage and up-vote this post.
2. Add me as a friend over there!
You can also, if you would, add me as a friend over at FriendFeed. I’m starting to get a complex. LOL
Thanks for the Stumble!

I signed up but hit a glitch with the email activation process. I’ve emailed their admin about it. Thanks for the info on this. I appreciate your help. Along with your article about FriendFeed, I’m really starting to see my numbers go up.
I haven’t seen mush traffic from BlogCatalog, even when I was sponsoring a category. I’m looking forward to using BlogEngage. I’ll have to start writing better posts.

I do the best on BlogCatalog when I participate in their forum. Usually, that gets people looking (as long as I’m charming enough. LOL).
None of the blogging communities are really that great for traffic. My traffic usually comes from search engines and when someone submits my stuff to social media sites like Stumble, Reddit, etc.
What the blogging community sites are great for is picking up loyal readers here and there; after a while, they add up. Occasionally, they link to your blog (which is nice).

bbrian017 has arrived!
First a big thanks to the author of the blog! I’ve worked hard on blogengage over the past 2 years and things are finally starting to come together. One thing I have been trying to stress is getting people to add a profile image and update their profile pages. Making your presence noticed and making your profile unique helps to build traffic so much.
We encourage bloggers to submit their own content as we are waiting to socially engage with you. It’s a unique way I set up the site as the software was never intended to be like that.
@john, I really look forward to your new project. I’m assuming this is what you were asking from me on twitter regarding my php experience. I’m excited to see what evolves from your ambitions.
@kathcom, I think we got you all sorted and you have submitted! I’ll be sure to vote it up add you as a friend and socially engage in your website.
Thanks again fro the tight review William hope you didn’t think I over looked your article!
Cheers,
Brian

I’m a fairly new blogger and looking for ways to promote my blog but at the same time I just don’t want to post my blog url everywhere like a spammer. Blog Engage is heaven sent to us bloggers. I just registered today and I’ve started checking out the site.

Excellent information, I had never tried Blog Engage, although I have heard of it before. I am going to try it now that I read this post and have been convinced. I will let you know how it goes, thanks again.

Blogengage is a pretty cool concept. Bloggers helping bloggers is definitely a good and timely idea. I can’t wait to follow some of the links in theis post as well.

The thing I like about Blogengage is the community. They actually read your posts. Most blog aggregators are just plain RSS feed readers of sorts. People do not participate, they do not help with promotion.
With Blogengage, not only is it a type of agregator, but the people who vote your story up most probably will also read it as well as even comment on your post.
Why does it work? Well it’s all about bloggers helping other bloggers. About engaging your audience. You scratch my back I scratch yours.
Lets hope this involvement and enthusiasm of the community does not die of, but increases exponentially.
